AggreGuard™ is a blend of wildtype bacterial enzymes, allowing for a gentler digestion of extracellular matrix components reducing cell-to-cell attachment which initiates aggregation, without affecting cell-to-surface attachment.
This product was developed and validated for use in VERO protocols, with continuous expansion to find applications for other cell types.
CellRev’s proprietary media additive, AggreGuard™, controls and reduces aggregation in microcarrier-based cell cultures.
Prevention of microcarrier aggregation facilitates diffusion of nutrients, waste products and gas exchange. CellRev’s AggreGuard™ actively promotes a more favourable bioprocess with improved cell viability until the end of the process.
AggreGuard™ can be used as a prophylactic or added later in the process. The addition strategy is dependent on cell type factors (i.e., doubling time; extracellular matrix composition) and cell-microcarrier pairing.
